Release Kurdish women leaders arrested by the Iraqi government!
Radical Women (RW) in the U.S. and Australia stands with the Kurdistan Free Women’s Organization (RJAK) and feminists throughout the world in demanding the immediate release of RJAK leaders, Xewla Mihemed Hesen, Ciwana Ebdulbaqî and Seyran Ehmed Hesen.
As socialist feminist internationalists, RW condemns the arrest and detention, ordered by Nechirvan Barzani, President of Kurdistan in Iraq. These Kurdish women leaders are deliberately targeted as part of the regime’s policy of femicide in its war against the Kurdish people. The growing international movement for Kurdish freedom, of which RW is part, includes countries like ours, whose governments are complicit in the genocide.

We salute our Kurdish sisters on the front lines of this ongoing imperialist war. You shine as an example for women across the world, who are leading struggles for urgent, fundamental change. We believe that our march, together, will vanquish this barbaric capitalist system and replace it with one that is equal, cooperative and peaceful.
Free Xewla Mihemed Hesen, Ciwana Ebdulbaqî and Seyran Ehmed Hesen! Stop the genocidal war! Freedom for the Kurdish people!
