Fighting for Rosie and reproductive justice for all!

Learn how you can take part in multi-city actions on October 1 in honor of Rosie Jiménez, the first person known to die of an unsafe abortion after the Hyde Amendment cut off federal dollars for abortion in 1977. Events will protest reproductive injustices against Latinx communities, such as border separations and inhumane treatment of ICE detainees, including forced sterilization and denial of abortion. Gatherings will also demand that the Supreme Court uphold the Indian Child Welfare Act in its new session beginning October 3. The meeting will also discuss National Mobilization contingents that will raise these issues and more at the marches called by Women's March the following weekend.

Get involved -- help build the national movement for abortion and reproductive justice!

Sometime soon, the Supreme Court will rule on Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Based on the leaked draft decision, the situation looks dire for a federal policy upholding legal abortion. Everyone who believes in the right of bodily autonomy must speak out that this is unacceptable. We need to inspire our communities, unions, and organizations to add their strength to this fight. The intersectional platform of the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice is essential in demonstrating meaningful unity to the most-marginalized, who are most by the attacks and whose leadership is vital. Learn how you can get involved in a movement to win real reproductive justice. Everyone welcome -- your ideas and participation are needed!

National Radical Women online meeting
Which Road to Women's Liberation and Reproductive Justice?

Radical Women's multi-issue socialist feminist vision keeps us moving forward in the right direction. One debate in the current reproductive rights struggle is whether a narrow, single-issue focus "we can all agree on" is stronger than building an intersectional effort. We'll dig into this long-running, still persistent political question with a discussion on the document Which Road towards Women's Liberation: A Radical Vanguard or a Single-Issue Coalition?.
The gathering will also hear from national and local organizers of the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice about current actions and plans for when the Supreme Court rules on Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Learn what's happening in other cities and how you can get involved. Everyone welcome -- your ideas and participation are needed!

Women, war and resistance!

Police detain a demonstrator with a sign saying, "No war with Ukraine," at an anti-war protest in Moscow on Feb. 24.
Over and over it’s shown that women, children and civilians pay the highest price in times of war. This meeting will hear about the situation of Ukrainian women, how they’re surviving Russia’s attacks and their situation as refugees. We’ll also learn about courageous feminist antiwar protesters in Russia. Moving to battles at home, the meeting will get updates on building a national movement to defend abortion and reproductive justice. Also on the agenda: a political assessment of Biden’s Supreme Court pick, Ketanji Brown Jackson. It’s a historic first for a Black woman to be nominated, but what are her views? Come add your thoughts.

National online Radical Women meeting
Launch the new year with a determined fight for reproductive justice

Who will save reproductive rights and access to abortion for all? It's coming down to you and me. We ARE the leaders we've been waiting for — and we're not waiting any longer! There is an urgent need for a grassroots, militant fight that champions the leadership and demands of the most marginalized. The place to start is here and now.
This national Radical Women meeting will hear from the January 8 Chicago counter-protest of the Midwest Right to "Life" march. Organizers in San Francisco will review their plans for a similar counter-protest, and other cities will discuss their actions for January 22, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. Add your ideas for "Day Of" actions when the Supreme Court decision comes down on the Mississippi challenge to Roe. And let's get inspired by women's uprisings worldwide, as we look toward International Women's Day.
Come add your ideas and share your actions so we can support and reinforce each other's organizing.
Register here.
