National online meeting
The future of reproductive justice is in our hands

On December 1, as the Supreme Court heard a challenge to the legal status of abortion in the U.S., members of Radical Women and the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice hit the streets in Washington, DC and a number of other cities to demand the judges uphold and expand abortion rights. Hear from the organizers about how the day went. Get an evaluation of national leadership on the issue. Share your thoughts on what kind of actions are needed on January 22, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, and help plan what it will take to build a movement mighty enough to preserve the right of women and all people to control their own bodies. Together we are saying, it's #MyDecisionAlone.
If you are in an organization, please encourage it to send representatives and to endorse and get active in the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice.

Report-back on the mobilization for reproductive justice — and what's next

Hear about the achievements and wide range of actions held on October 3rd as part of the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice. From New York City to Redwood City, from Arizona to Minnesota and parts in-between, folks came out with a powerful, intersectional set of demands aimed at building the kind of broad, militant grassroots movement that can save abortion and expand reproductive rights.
What's next? Bring your thoughts and ideas! The Supreme Court has scheduled December 1 for hearing arguments on the Mississippi case that could throw out Roe v. Wade. June is when the decision could come down. What can we do in the meantime to build the massive political pressure needed to ensure the right of women and all people to control their own bodies and lives?

Spotlighting the fight for reproductive justice

SisterReach and supporters speak out in Memphis, Tennessee, June 19, 2020.
Black women, women of color and the poor are hardest hit when abortion rights are denied. The fight for full reproductive justice encompasses issues of access to quality health care, social support for pregnant people and single mothers, an end to forced sterilization, childcare, and ending all forms of bigotry.
This national Radical Women zoom meeting will begin with fiery words from a videotaped press conference by SisterReach of Memphis, Tennessee, in June 2020, when lawmakers had just passed a 6-week limit on abortion. An array of speakers reveal the full human cost and racist impact of attacks on reproductive rights.
Buoyed by their fight-back, we will then discuss Radical Women’s plans to build a strong movement to stop the rollback of reproductive rights, beginning with an inspiring international Women’s Rights Day celebration in August and a campaign for actions around the country on October 3, to remember Rosie Jiménez and defend Roe v Wade.
Come share your ideas and energy. Let’s build this movement!

A call-out to defenders of abortion rights!

Are you outraged and worried that the pro-patriarchy Supreme Court majority could overturn Roe v Wade when it takes up Mississippi’s anti-abortion laws this fall? What should supporters of women’s rights do to stop a rollback? What local or national actions can we work on together to affirm every person’s right to control their own body?
Radical Women knows that powerful social movements have a big influence on the U.S. Supreme Court. That is the lesson from how abortion, voting rights, LGBTQ marriage and other groundbreaking victories were won. Relying on lobbyists, lawyers, and professional spokespeople isn’t going to cut it. Neither will the hope that mail-order abortion drugs can stop the conflict. The real aim of anti-choicers is controlling and repressing women, queers and trans people. The far-right wants to revive racist eugenics policies that restrict childbearing for people of color, while boosting the white birthrate. To turn the tide will take masses in the streets like we’ve seen in Ireland, Argentina, Poland and elsewhere. We need a united fight against a common enemy!
Come to this Radical Women meeting to brainstorm bold and creative approaches that could spark mass action. Bring your thoughts on what is needed locally and nationally, along with ideas on how to build alliances with other social movements.

Feminist voices in defense of the most oppressed are vitally needed, whether the issue is justice in the Middle East, the scapegoating of transgender youth, or racist attacks. At this meeting, longtime anti-Zionist Jewish activist Adrienne Weller will report on the renewed outbreak of protest and repression in Israel/Palestine and exciting feminist voices coming out of the struggle. The meeting will also discuss the rash of bigoted legislation targeting trans youth and how Radical Women can provide support. Plus updates on other socialist feminist activities. Everyone welcome.

Standing up to fascists yesterday and today

Learn about a powerful coalition effort, United Front Against Fascism (UFAF), that confronted and demoralized fascists every time they raised their heads in the Pacific Northwest during the 1990s. Radical Women was a proud part of that movement. Ann Rogers, a Native American elder who was a mainstay of the UFAF campaign, will recount key lessons from that experience -- lessons that are urgently needed today as Nazis and white supremacists ratchet up recruiting efforts around the country.
The meeting will also hear reports on Radical Women's participation in recent protests against the far-right in Seattle, Phoenix, and Huntington Beach, California. Plus an update on Radical Women's organizing around the EACH Act to expand abortion access and other socialist feminist activities. Everyone welcome.
