Women’s Rights in Mexico – a View from the Left
Chicano/Latino Studies instructor and immigrant rights advocate, Guadalupe Martínez Zapata, will review the groundbreaking new booklet, Notes from the Female Reality in Mexico, by Leda Silva Victoria and Angélica García Olivares. But they share good news too -- women are mobilizing! The writers are leaders of the Partido Obrero Socialista (Socialist Workers Party of Mexico) and are on the frontline in developing a socialist program for women’s liberation.
The English version of the pamphlet was issued by Radical Women Publications at the request of the authors. For a copy of the booklet in English or Spanish, go to http://www.radicalwomen.org/feminist_solidarity.html

Take Back the Fight for Healthcare!
What kind of grassroots change do we need to see real health care reform? Obama and the Democratic led congress have tried to distance themselves from a single payer or public option. Claudia Krenz of Single Payer Action and long time social justice activist will present at this round table discussion on the fight for healthcare for all.
